The article discusses Singing Voice Conversion (SVC), a technology that allows the conversion of one singer’s voice into another’s while preserving the original lyrics and melody. The authors propose SongBsAb1, a method to prevent unauthorized song covers using SVC. SongBsAb1 introduces imperceptible alterations to singing voices before their release, interfering with SVC and resulting in unexpected singing voices. This method disrupts singer identity and lyric preservation, making the covered voice unrecognizable and the lyrics different from the original. The authors demonstrate the effectiveness, utility, and robustness of SongBsAb1 on three SVC models and two datasets.
