The paper introduces the AdaptiX XRframework, a free and open-source platform for developing and evaluating shared control applications in assistive robotics. The framework includes a simulated robotic arm, multiple standard control interfaces, and a recording/replay system. It allows researchers to design and test interaction methods, intervention strategies, and feedback techniques without a physical robotic arm. The framework can control a real robotic arm using a Robot Operating System (ROS) integration.
