The study investigates the complex relationship between a user’s subjective trust, confidence measurements, and mouse trajectory characteristics during an online task. It suggests that mouse trajectory analysis could be a viable tool for assessing trust in AI systems. However, the results reveal that these measurements alone may not adequately explain the variance to be used independently. The research provides valuable insights into potential low-cost trust assessment methods in AI systems.
