This paper discusses the creation of a database of 3D mesh models of real-world objects, vital for robotic simulations and applications like computer vision and AI. Traditional CAD-based methods are time-consuming and tedious, so this research explores photogrammetry and active 3D scanning to streamline the process. The models created are of household items and IKEA products, including larger objects such as desks and tables. The research also provides all images useful for training radiance field methods. The models and images are available on the project’s website.
