This research paper presents a solution to efficiently offload heavy computing tasks from mobile devices to a satellite-based mist computing environment. The paper proposes an offloading algorithm that prioritizes satellite proximity, reducing energy consumption and ensuring tasks are executed within timing constraints. The results showed the proposed algorithm outperforms others in terms of energy consumption, delay, and task success rates, making it a promising solution for heavy computing tasks in satellite-based mist computing.
