The article introduces DynaVis, an innovative tool that combines natural language interfaces and UI widgets for visualization editing. As a user describes an editing task in natural language, DynaVis performs the edit and synthesizes a UI widget that the user can interact with for further modifications. This approach offers an alternative to the complexities of traditional GUIs and the limitations of custom UIs. DynaVis offers the advantage of instant visual feedback, thus increasing user confidence and ease of editing. The tool was preferred by study participants over the natural language interface-only interface.
