The article presents a framework for authenticating users of Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) using P300 potential, a type of brainwave elicited by known images. The authors validate their framework through an experimental scenario with ten subjects and a non-invasive EEG-based BCI. They also evaluate the performance of different processing techniques and the differences between classifying with epochs or statistical values. The results show that the framework achieved nearly 100% accuracy, demonstrating the feasibility of performing EEG-based authentication using P300 potentials.
