The article, ‘Generalising Planning Environment Redesign’, argues that the objective of an interested party in environment design could extend beyond simply recognising agents’ goals or plans. The authors propose a metric-agnostic approach to redesign planning environments, leveraging top-quality planning research to optimise according to any objective or metric. Experiments showed the approach outperformed existing ones, proving effective in facilitating the recognition of goals and optimising a new set of different metrics.
