This study introduces HaptStarter, a haptic stimulus start system to enhance the performance of deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) sprinters. Despite their physical abilities matching those with hearing, DHH individuals often struggle in sports due to the difficulty of perceiving audio information. The paper highlights the design of a new haptic stimulus start system for DHH sprinters, leveraging an optimal haptic stimulus interface. The method proposed could contribute to the development of universal design prototypes for everyone, including DHH, blind and low-vision, and other disabled sprinters.
