This study, conducted by researchers from the University of Washington and Maestro AI, explores the concept of ‘meeting bridges’ as a means to alleviate the burden of remote meetings. The surge in remote meetings has led to Zoom fatigue and collaboration overload, negatively affecting productivity and well-being. The researchers propose using meeting bridges, information artifacts that encapsulate meeting information, to facilitate post-meeting activities and asynchronous collaboration. They conducted 13 interviews and a survey of 198 information workers to understand how people use online meeting information after meetings. The study highlights the potential of designing information artifacts that support users in engaging with and transforming meeting information post-meeting.
