This study investigates how people consume health videos on social media. The research involved interviews and surveys, leading to a model that characterizes users’ video consumption practices. These practices include deciding to watch videos, accessing them on social media, meeting informational and emotional needs, evaluating credibility, and using videos to achieve health goals. The study also identified challenges faced by consumers and suggested areas for future research. The findings provide insights into user behavior and have implications for the design of health video content on social media platforms.
