This article discusses the challenges of creating video podcast teasers and introduces an AI tool, PodReels, to assist creators. Teasers are short videos that capture interest in full episodes of a video podcast. Creating a compelling teaser from a long episode requires significant mental effort and time. PodReels was developed to reduce the mental demand and improve efficiency in creating teasers. The tool combines insights from audience comments and creator interviews to determine essential ingredients for a good teaser. A user study found that PodReels significantly improves the creators’ efficiency in producing video podcast teasers.
