The 5th International Workshop on Reading Music Systems took place in Milan, Italy, in November 2023. The workshop, which started in 2018, has seen increasing interest from around the world. This year’s edition featured 10 accepted contributions from a total of 11 submissions, presenting exciting projects and new technical advancements in the field of music recognition. The event also promoted the Github organization ‘omr-research’ as a central hub for publishing and finding research-related repositories. The proceedings of the workshop were edited by Jorge Calvo-Zaragoza, Alexander Pacha, and Elona Shatri.
