QTFlow is a new framework introduced in this research to enhance security in hardware design. Current Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools prioritize power, performance, and area optimization, often neglecting security. This leads to vulnerabilities in the design. QTFlow addresses this issue by quantifying information leakages, with a focus on timing channels, which are often overlooked. The research demonstrates that QTFlow is effective in identifying these timing channels and reducing false positives in the analysis, an improvement upon current techniques.
