This article presents a survey of 430 professors from universities in the USA and India to understand their perspectives on scientific processes and reproducibility. The study identifies national and disciplinary gaps in attention to reproducibility and replicability of scientific research, suggesting a need for culturally-centered solutions. Despite advances in open science and science of science communities, there are still many researchers unfamiliar with these concerns or best practices for reproducible, replicable, and reliable scholarship.
