GSGEN is a novel method for generating high-quality 3D objects using Gaussian Splatting. It addresses the shortcomings of previous methods by incorporating a 3D geometry prior and a 2D SDS loss, ensuring a sensible and 3D-consistent rough shape. The method also includes a progressive optimization strategy, which comprises a geometry optimization stage and an appearance refinement stage. The approach can generate 3D content with delicate details and more accurate geometry. The code is available on GitHub.
