The paper discusses the design and challenge of constantly informing systems (CIS) that provide information over a long period of time. The authors propose a game theoretic approach to enhance the provision of information by considering the changing information base, mood, and abilities of the user. They suggest using psychological models of the human mind and emotions in the process and believe that the analysis of these games can provide comparative insights into different design variants. The paper also touches on the idea of the human as a system of limited cognitive resources and how this can be factored into the design of CIS. The authors envision integrating these models into games between a CIS and its user.
