This academic article discusses the importance of understanding and implementing novel risk analysis techniques for systems containing artificial intelligence (AI) components. It’s in response to new regulations like the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act and the NIST Artificial Intelligence Risk Management Framework. The authors present a framework for cybersecurity risk analysis in systems with AI components. The paper uses an example of automated driving systems to illustrate the application of the framework. The authors also discuss the potential risks of AI, such as the creation of deep fake technology and the use of AI in the production of biochemical weapons.
