This paper discusses the importance of communication among healthcare professionals for patient treatment. The researchers introduce EHRFlow, a system used to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of temporal communication networks in healthcare. The system measures patient outcomes, communication efficiency, and the latencies and frequencies of Electronic Health Record (EHR) accesses. The paper highlights the need for more studies to associate patient survival outcomes with healthcare professionals’ teamwork structure and dynamics.
