The article introduces UNIC, a framework designed to improve the quality of image composition. Traditional methods of image composition rely on cropping redundant content from the image borders. However, this method has limitations, particularly when the best composition isn’t entirely within the captured image. UNIC addresses this issue by recommending camera view adjustments that aren’t limited by image borders. This includes operations like zooming in or out and moving the camera. The framework also improves the accuracy of view adjustment predictions using feature extrapolation. The result is a camera view and a bounding box showing the recommended image composition.
