The study explores the capabilities of Jukebox, a neural network, to replicate two music genres – artcore and orchestral. The research used a Google Colab notebook for computational resources to sample and extend sixteen piano arrangements from both genres. Public perception was gauged through a survey distributed to a local youth orchestra. The results showed humans preferred human-generated music, but Jukebox’s capabilities were promising, indicating a future for AI in music production.
