The article presents IICONGRAPH, a knowledge graph developed to address gaps in the representation of iconographic and iconological statements in cultural heritage. The graph was created by refining and extending the statements of ArCo (Italian cultural heritage KG) and Wikidata. The evaluation results show that IICONGRAPH outperforms ArCo and Wikidata, serving as a robust platform for addressing research questions. It’s released in accordance with the FAIR principles and contributes to the evolving landscape of cultural heritage representation within Knowledge Graphs and the Semantic Web.
