The paper presents STarEdgeChain, a system for secure and privacy-aware targeted message dissemination in IoT. The system uses a permissioned blockchain assisted edge computing to expedite a single signcrypted message dissemination among targeted groups of devices, while avoiding the dependency of multiple unicasting approaches. The authors also develop a software prototype of STarEdgeChain and demonstrate its practicability for smart devices.
